Ohio's County Boards of Developmental Disabilities Services are facing new regulations from the federal government's Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. These rules will change the way they operate.
The new rules prohibit County Boards from providing case management and direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities who receive federal waiver funds.
As a result, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities determined that County Boards can no longer provide the following services:
Adult day support (currently offered at our Calumet, Jergens, Kuntz, Liberty and Northview Centers)
The Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services (MCBDDS) is developing a plan of action to phase out these services. Individuals who currently receive such services will eventually need to seek programming from private providers.
