Dayton Society of Artists Collaboration

art in the city

Our current collaboration with the Dayton Society of Artists

We are currently working on a large-scale work of art about the people of Dayton and their hopes and dreams. We kicked off our collaboration at the Art in the City event June 3. Located outside the Schuster Center, we held a live demonstration with fellow artists from The Dayton Society of Artists where we invited the community to participate in the making of this piece.

The finished piece will be a large collage made from the hopes and dreams of those who wish to participate. People who stopped by our Art in the City booth were asked to write a dream on a piece of black, gray or white paper, and artists from the Society applied it to a canvas.

The art in progress was on display at the 48 High Street Gallery during the St. Anne's Hill Garden Tour, and will be on display during our opening reception at the K-12 art gallery July 1 from 5-7 p.m. If you would like to participate in this collaborative piece, please let us know by calling 937-910-7457.
