  1. United Commercial Travelers Annual Halloween Dance

    October 20, 2017, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Northview Center

    The United Commercial Travelers of America, Gem City Council #3, will sponsor its annual Halloween Dance at Northview Center, 8114 N. Main St., Dayton, 45415 on Friday Oct. 20 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Individuals are invited to attend in costume. Disk Jockey Wayne Calico will furnish music. Attendees are asked to enter at the front door.

  2. Beyond Limits Sunday School

  3. Guardianship Support Group Meeting: Coffee and Conversation

    October 24, 2017, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Dayton Metro Library Miami Township

    At these meetings, held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, the Probate Court's social worker facilitates an informal support group where guardians can share their knowledge and experience with each other.

  4. School-to-Adult Life Series presentations: Saving and Investing

    October 25, 2017, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Warren C. Young Center (Auditorium)

    Savings and investment solutions that help people with disabilities will be the focus of October School-to-Adult Life (SALT) Series presentations for individuals ages 14-22 and their parents. Parents will learn about STABLE investment accounts, and individuals will learn about the importance of saving for a rainy day. Sessions will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the following dates and locations: Oct. 10:  Miami Valley Regional Center/Montgomery County ESC, 4801 Springfield Street, Dayton, 45431; Oct. 19:  Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities, The Atrium (use E side entrance), 121 Fairgrounds Road, Xenia, 45385; Oct. 25:  Warren C. Young Center Auditorium, 801 Drake Road, Lebanon, 45036. Families need only attend one session.   5. Guardianship & Financial Planning Seminar

    United Rehabilitation Services (URS) is hosting a free Guardianship and Financial Planning Seminar on Saturday, October 28 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. This seminar is made possible thanks to Porter Wright Morris & Arthur and funding from The Huber A. & Gladys C. Estabrook Charitable Trust. Presenters will will cover: Understanding Guardianship and Power of Attorney; Introduction to Medicaid and Social Security; and Pooled Trusts: One Step in Financial Planning.
