  2. A Loving Heart Day Service Open House

    February 27, 2018, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ A Loving Heart Youth Services, Inc.

    A Loving Heart Community Day Services will hold an Open House to showcase its Adult Day Support program for individuals with developmental disabilities. This program offers small group sizes, along with community outings, arts and crafts, exercise opportunities, group projects, independent living skills instruction, music and dancing. A Loving Heart also offers non-medical transportation, home care and independent living support, as well as vocational task training. Its offices are located at 3195 Siebenthaler Avenue, Dayton, in the Northwest Plaza, next to CitiGear.

  3. Guardianship Support Group Meeting: Coffee and Conversation

    At these meetings, held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, the Probate Court's social worker facilitates an informal support group where guardians can share their knowledge and experience with each other.

  4. S.A.L.T. Series/Parent Session: "Transition Learning Part 2: Who is my provider & What do they do? What are my housing options?" - Warren County

    February 28, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Warren C. Young Center (Auditorium)

    Sessions will be offered in three counties (Montgomery, Greene and Warren) for parents of individuals ages 14-22 with developmental disabilities AND the individuals themselves. Each session is free of charge and will tackle a different topic that addresses the transition from school to adulthood for people with disabilities, including: waiver funding, provider and housing options, social security benefits and work incentives, guardianship and investing for the future. All sessions will be held from 6 to 7:30.
