  1. S.A.L.T Series/Parent Session: "Where Do I Start?" - Salt-Teens Session: "My Road Map"- Montgomery County

    September 12, 2017, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Miami Valley Regional Center / Montgomery County ESC

    Join the Montgomery, Greene and Warren County Boards of Developmental Disabilities for the kickoff of their monthly School-to-Adult Life (S.A.L.T.) Education Series in September. Sessions will be offered in all three counties for parents of individuals ages 14-22 with developmental disabilities AND the individuals themselves. Each session is free of charge and will tackle a different topic that addresses the transition from school to adulthood for people with disabilities, including: waiver funding, provider and housing options, social security benefits and work incentives, guardianship and investing for the future. All sessions will be held from 6 to 7:30. Trainings are provided by the Employment First Local Leaders collaboration of Montgomery, Greene and Warren Counties.

  2. Medicaid Managed Care Informational Forum - Southwest Ohio

    What is Medicaid Managed Care? Managed Care is a new health care coordination service offered through the Ohio Department of Medicaid. If you or a loved one receive funding through a state-funded developmental disabilities waiver, you or your family are newly eligible for Managed Care as of 2017. Come to the forum to learn more about this new health care management option, and speak with representatives from Ohio’s Managed Care plans, who will take audience questions. Each session will cover: • The Basics: What is Managed Care, and how can it help coordinate health care? • The Benefits: Expanded health care access, coordination, and transportation to appointments • How-to Steps: How and where to sign up, including what to expect once you are enrolled
