MCBDDS is hosting a Disability Pride Rally at Cooper Park in downtown Dayton at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26 to celebrate Disability Pride Month and commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This event provides a platform for people with disabilities to demonstrate pride in who they are and what they contribute to their communities. Several self-advocates will speak, along with MCBDDS Superintendent Dr. Pamela Combs. We will have ice cream and water onsite, and the program will take place if the weather permits. Parking is available in a variety of lots around the library.
Note: Cooper Park is located immediately behind the Dayton Metro Library Main Branch Building, in the same block, between Second and Third streets and Patterson and St. Clair streets. Should you have questions about this event, please call 937-732-3706.
