On Wednesday, August 9, MCBDDS will host three events designed to help people with developmental disabilities and their families better understand assistive technology and remote supports. These events, to be held at our Southview Center, include:
- Tech Fair: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Visitors can meet with representatives of technology providers to view and discuss different types of assistive technology and remote supports.
- Mobile Smart Home Tours: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Visitors can tour a mock-up of a Smart Home operated by the Ohio Tech Ambassadors Network. Registration is required; please visit our site to book your appointment.
- Residential Home Tours: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Tour homes operated by Resident Home Association, Toward Independence and Graceworks. Accessible transportation will be provided by MCBDDS; participants will be required to use the transportation for the purpose of the tours. Registration is required; you must visit our site to book your appointment.
Please note: Homes toured may not be available when your adult child needs placement, and participating in a tour does not obligate MCBDDS to provide placement. All residential placements are subject to the financial limitations of MCBDDS.
