With many people facing food insecurity due to lack of a paycheck, we have gathered a list of local food resources that may be of help. We encourage you to ask about accommodations for those with disabilities, such as delivery options and accessible sites.
- The Foodbank recently shared links to its Pantry Locator Tool and its list of Mobile Pantries.
- The Dayton Daily News has created a list of Dayton-area food pantries and restaurants that are offering free meals in the region.
- The Ohio Association of Foodbanks coordinates 12 regional foodbanks and hundreds of pantries statewide. Their locator tool connects users to nearby pantries, mobile distributions, and programs that accommodate disability access and transportation barriers.
- The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) administers SNAP and emergency food programs statewide. Visit the BenefitsOhio website, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services website, or contact the Montgomery County Job and Family Services office for updates and to confirm the latest benefit schedule and emergency food options.
- Dial 2-1-1 or visit 211.org to find food pantries, community meal programs, and local charities by ZIP code. The service operates 24/7 and includes disability-friendly search filters.
If you are aware of food assistance programs not included among the resources above, we would welcome the information. Contact us at 937-732-3706 or email the Community Relations team. Thank you!
