Precautionary Measures

Given the concerns that exist about the potential for the rapid spread of the disease, however, we ask the following:

If you are ill or have flu-like symptoms that could be Coronavirus and have an appointment with a County Board staff member, please contact that person and let them know as soon as possible. They will work with you to reschedule at a time when you are feeling better. Likewise, if anyone in your household or other persons you have been in contact with (friends, staff, family members, etc.) have flu-like symptoms, including a fever, we ask that you reschedule any appointments with MCBDDS staff.

PACE Early Intervention: Please inform us prior to your appointment if anyone in your home is ill or has flu-like symptoms that could be Coronavirus so that we can reschedule for a time when you are feeling better. PACE services may also be provided via televisits to families who are interested in receiving services via technology.

Mental Health: The Mental Health Services team is happy to change your upcoming psychiatric appointment to a telehealth (video) session if you are ill. Please call the office at 937-457-2753 at your earliest convenience and we will adjust your appointment as needed. We can also send you a link and you will be able to access your telehealth appointment via your smartphone or computer. If your appointment is with a mental health therapist, we will have the therapist call and touch base with you via the telephone until you are well enough to be seen again.

Recreation: To ensure safety and minimize Coronavirus exposure for everyone, MCBDDS has cancelled its Recreation activities through at least Sunday, April 5.
