In celebration of this important observance, MCBDDS is hosting a Disability Pride Rally at Cooper Park at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26. This date is also the 32nd anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Cooper Park is located immediately behind the Dayton Metro Library Main Branch Building, in the same block. We hope many of you will make time for this important event, which will likely be covered by local newspapers and TV stations.
The program will be approximately 30 minutes, and several self-advocates will speak, along with MCBDDS Superintendent Dr. Pamela Combs. We will have ice cream and water onsite, and the program will take place if the weather permits. Parking is available around the library. Hope to see you there!
