The School to Adult Life Transition Series (SALT) is a monthly series of webinars designed to help students with developmental disabilities and their families navigate the transition from school to adult life. There are two sets of webinars—one for families, and one for teens themselves—and each provides resources and guidance on topics ranging from future planning and services to employment and independent living.
Participants will get a card stating the successful completion of course curriculum in CPR valid for two years through the American Red Cross. This meets the required standard for Provider Certification through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Training includes the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Family Services/Community Services for the Deaf is offering American Sign Language (ASL) classes. For more details or to sign up contact Ashley Albright at 937-640-8032, email@example.com.
