Provider Training Calendar

  1. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Training for Providers - Day 1 of 2 day training

    The MCBDDS Behavior Support Services Department is offering crisis management training for Direct Support Staff (DSP). This training is for both agency staff and independent providers who provide services in Montgomery County. We will be offering Crisis Prevention Institute’s (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training. Topics include de-escalation techniques, positive support strategies, communication considerations, risk assessment and staff responses to risk behaviors. Physical skills for self-protection and safe holds will also be taught. Class size is limited. A minimum of 12 participants is required per session, if the minimum is not met then registrants will be scheduled for a different date. This is a 2-day training.
