Disability Voting Rights Week

Every year, the REV UP Campaign coordinates Disability Voting Rights Week (formerly National Disability Voter Registration Week) to increase the political power of people with disabilities. They do this by getting disabled people registered and ready to vote and engaging our candidates and communities on issues impacting people with disabilities. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Training for Providers - Day 2 of 2 day training

The MCBDDS Behavior Support Services Department is offering crisis management training for Direct Support Staff (DSP). This training is for both agency staff and independent providers who provide services in Montgomery County. We will be offering Crisis Prevention Institute’s (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Training. Topics include de-escalation techniques, positive support strategies, communication considerations, risk assessment, and staff responses to risk behaviors. Physical skills for self-protection and safe holds will also be taught. Class size is limited. A minimum of 12 participants is required per session, if the minimum is not met then registrants will be scheduled for a different date. This is a 2-day training.

Medication Administration Training - Stand Alone Training (Cincinnati)

This Stand Alone Training meets the annual state requirements to enable DD personnel to utilize a VNS Magnet, administer an Epinephrine Auto-Injector, and use OTC topical medications for cleansing, comfort & protection of intact skin, hair, nails, teeth & oral surfaces.
